Niro finds a bug

Niro - a new developer for grammafone - fixed bug #175!  It turned out to be a problem with script.aculo.us library where the list was not getting updated correctly due to naming issues.

This means drag/drop playlist sorting now works correctly!  Thanks Niro.

Nice work guys. Installed from svn and drag and drop works real nice! I have one question. I notice you can drag and drop to the playlist and then move the songs in the playlist via drag and drop. Are there any plans to allow dragging from library to playlist and dropping the song where you want it to appear in the playlist. Thus eliminating the second step?

I see the flash player is coming along but not usable yet. Will this eventually be like the implementation introduced by an mp3act user where it displayed a running order and album cover?

If you’re taking requests it would be nice to have the option to select either the integrated flash player or dump to a m3u file that can be used by Xmms / Winamp etc. I currently use the hacked flash player in mp3act and sometimes it would be nice to be able to close the browser and free up the resources. This is possible with the m3u approach.

    Keep up the goodwork.

Spitbyte, I’ve add a ticket for the first request, so its on the roadmap.

As for the flash player, I see grammfone play working in 2 modes, an online mode and offline mode. Online would use the flash player directly in the browser, and offline would send the m3u playlist to play locally however you want.

Thanks Ben. I look forward to seeing that addition. :)

After playing some more I notice that dragging files around in the playlist has a detrimental effect on the album/track hover-over. Basically, it becomes obscured — almost completely.

    Cheers

Hello All! I’m a carry-over from the mp3act forum. I love this system. Just took a look at the latest svn. Can’t wait until the flash player is operable. I’d love to help with the project. I’m not much of a coder, but I can do a little of this and that. My first suggestion is to implement a forum here to start building a userbase. I recommend the Simple Machines Forum. I am a web developer, and this forum has everything, and at the same time is not overkill. I’d also love to see a regular downloadable version of Grammafone.

I second Joshua’s post. A forum would be great. It would be more convenient for feedback and suggestions. Also a great place for grammafone users to congregate and share.

I hope this can be implemented.

    Spitbyte out …
